About Us
Dorothy and Frank Vernon started Watch Your Step! with several friends in 2008 as a vintage dance performance troupe. Many delightful years were spent performing with good friends, learning new dances, and entertaining the dance community. More on Watch Your Step history….
Post-pandemic, we are reprogramming to offer dances, lessons & workshops, and special events. The new Watch Your Step! aim is to help build our robust dance community by:
Stressing the lead/follow connection
Offering unique and exciting musical selections
Bringing world-renowned instructors to present workshops
Teaching lessons for other organizations
Using any proceeds from ongoing dances to subsidize special events with live bands or our-of-town teachers
Watch Your Step! is a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation and a member of the Boulder Dance Coalition and the National Folk Organization (NFO).
